With dozens of social and sailing events every week, there is always something to fill your days, lift your spirits and liven up your summer.
The BYC’s lively social scene makes it easy for members to enjoy old friends as they make new ones. Our full calendar of activities, parties, excursions and traditions keep everyone involved and entertained.
A Juniors program offers a full schedule of social activities for children and teens. They include a talent show, off site canoe trip, games and contests, movie nights, teen coffee house, and a variety of DJ dance nights topped off with the summer semi-formal. It is a great way for your children to meet friends at the shore.
Friday nights you’ll find most families enjoying the laid-back atmosphere of BYC’s Sunset Grille – a night of casual food, cold drinks and socializing. It’s a fun way for the whole family to unwind and refresh. The only stress is trying to pick the exact moment the sun hits the waterline.
Saturday nights are even more fun. A host of parties and theme nights have included a Hawaiian luau, back to college night, an authentic low country sea food boil, and even classic 60’s game shows and dance nights with live music. Run by volunteers, the catered events include specialty menus and cocktails, live music, colorful decorations and often costumed characters.
